the updater is not updating my client.... a message pops up but its to fast to read. an ideas?
or is there some where i can dl version 3?

ok found out the issue you need to close steam and run the updater from the over watch folder. the message that pops up to fast to read sez "Please exit HL2.exe running the updater"
i dont mean to be rude but i think you guys should tell people to run the updater manually when you have steam switched off. if you have problems trying to update from within the game. but then again it could just be my pc

Hey tuollaf,
The updater usually waits a certain amount of time for hl2.exe to close, but if the game (for whatever reason) refuses to exit, the updater will just shut down.
We'll make the error message more obvious in a future update. Thanks for pointing it out!
