Try the following:
Extract the file from the attached ZIP and place it in your "overwatch\cfg" folder (usually somewhere like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\overwatch\cfg).
Once that's done, launch the game and try to join a server. When (and if) it freezes, exit the game, then go back to your root "overwatch" folder. You'll find a condump0.txt file.
Grab that + the following files (also found in your root "overwatch" folder):
- installer.log (if you installed Overwatch from the installer .exe),
- updater.conf
- updater.log
- updater.log.1 (if found)
- updater.log.2 (if found)
- updater_errors.log
Send them all to me and I'll take a look!

Nothing's showing up in the logs. I'm not quite sure what could be causing it. Let's try a few things to see if we can figure it out.
For starters, can you try loading a map locally? Just use the Create Server button on the main menu. Let me know if you manage to reach the level.

only way to turn the mod off is by using task manager and end hl2 process
I uploaded new condump0.txt
after I created server

Let's try something else: open your Steam games library, go to View > Tools, then run Source SDK Base 2007.
Try loading a map in there. Does it work?

Go to your "overwatch" folder, find the motd.txt file and delete it. Then try again!

I searched for people who were having the same problem with motd freeze in other mods, It was Internet Download Manager fault
some how it makes motd crash and freeze the mod.
Thank you Andy for your support and tracking down the issue!
