Hey guys!
Over my time playing OW, I've had people mention numerous ideas and I've had a few ideas of my own.

The first one is to improve the Crossroads map (and other maps like it should there be any): I really like the map to start with. Playing OW can be a little frustrating as the Combine are awkward to move about and they get killed my zombies before they get there etc. This is obviously an on going fix to improve the combines controllability throughout the mod. Another idea that was brought up whilst playing the map was to pause time whenever a bomb is planted; more specifically, the bunker bomb. This would make the last minute or so of the map a little more tense. This being said, I also think the map should last longer than 3 minutes and for the OW to spawn more combine so it's easier to send them to different places at the same time. This would make the map a little more like a survival map (thinking along the lines of L4D2's survival mode but with someone controlling the enemies). Also, make the bombs at the 3 bomb sites detonate slightly quicker, it's kinda difficult to actually succeed in getting them at the moment.
Also, the removal of the SMG grenade cheat would probably balence the map out a little too. ;)

Going back to lingering around the forums now... :coffee:

That's why I don't like to be OW in this map....putting those goddamn zombie respawning locations somewhere else, not in the neighbourhood of the combine spawn.

Or maybe replacing SMG grenades to hand grenades

I think the problem is more with the combine AI. Whenever the combine spot an enemy NPC (i.e. a zombie) they just have to attack it. Even when they're repeatedly being told to go elsewhere by the Overwatch they still feel compelled to turn around and attack. This makes troop movements much harder and usually ruins the element of surprise the Overwatch would normally have on the rebels (as the combine usually open-fire on the zombies).

Indeed. Since we're building the new AI from scratch, we're making very sure that these kinds of issues no longer occur (and that the AI behaves exactly like we want it to). It's a very frustrating aspect of the mod that I'm glad we're moving past. :)

Play the dev version of overwatch, SMG grenades are gone and replaced with handgrenades which are nearby C
