Voici the second part of our evil survey feedback series. Still haven't answered the questions in part 1? Don't worry! These threads will remain open for a while. Onward!

⇒ Question #1

Which side (Overwatch, Resistance) do you enjoy playing the most (or least)? Why?

⇒ Question #1½

Which side should be given more weapons/units/abilities first?

⇒ Question #2

What are your least favourite Overwatch features (list as many as you want)? Optionally, tell us exactly why you have nightmares about them at night, and feel free to let us know how they could be enhanced/improved in future updates. Your list can contain features, gameplay mechanics, maps, certain aspects of a map, sounds, etc.. etc.. Blast away!

Upcoming Questions: What two features would you like to see added to the Ground Players side?

1. I guess that depends on who your are playing against as the overwatch. Are there very good players or are they bad? If they are bad, it is fun. If they are too high level for me to handle then I hate it. It also depends on the map for me.

1.5. I would say overwatch, because the overwatch still needs a good way to handle defenders(whom I think are overpowered). And it wouldn't be so easy making a new weapon for the resistance without possibly scr*wing up balance.

2. - The riot shield, as it is almost impossible not to lose armies when they are being healed by a medic. They can even do it without the help of a medic. Maybe make it so the defender needs to have M2 held down to actually block bullets and while M2 is down they can't attack with the crowbar.
- The weird prop physics. If HL2DM can do it, then overwatch can do it too.
- In the dev, some community maps are buggy down to the point where players can't even progress further into the level. I suggest giving those mappers a deadline to fix their map or otherwise it be removed.

I don't quite understand what you mean by this one.

The whole point of the dev build is to house works in progress, prototypes, test maps, etc.. There's no harm in leaving them there, we just won't add them to an official release unless they're completed.

1.: The Overwatch side, because I like this kind of RTS.
2.: Maybe giving more abilities to the Overwatch, because the rebels has the same weapons, than other HL2 mods
3.: I don't know, maybe the problematic AI in some custom made maps.

Well, for example when I carry a gas canister, it's very laggy. I don't know if it is the mod but grenade's don't seem to be affected by this.

Well, it is kinda frustrating to play the same buggy maps over and over again knowing the mappers will never fix it(as I think a lot have left overwatch). I would sap them out if I had any sappers on me.

1. I enjoy the Overwatch side. I am an RTS fanatic, its just my thing.

2. The Overwatch for sure. As of right now, gameplay as the GM can get boring after a few rounds with so few little abilities and varieties in troops, traps etc.

3. The Riot Shield, the current spawning system, there is no resource system,

Personally, playing the Overwatch is the least enjoyable. Unfortunately rounds can be quite dull when faced against opponents of little skill, or even to the point of frustration when competing against a well co-ordinated resistance force.

Whilst there are more role items still to come for the Resistance, the Overwatch is also in need of more abilities/units. (e.g. "Force Grenade-Toss" or Rollermines.)

  • The warm-up period: Players should be able to select a preference in a menu (similiar to Zombie Master) instead of choosing every round. (It really is quite annoying.)
  • The rebels come far too well equipped: There really is a need for a weapon-slot system (i.e. Primary, Secondary, etc...) instead of the seemingly infinite weapon cache the resistance carry around with them.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the warm-up period.

And I do agree with the statement that Rebels come equipped with a full arsenal of of a pistol, SMG1, shotgun, a melee weapon, and grenades. It is a bit much, although they are meant to be a Rebel commando force. Its a give-or-take sort of thing. Maybe it can be discussed in the future.

Before each round properly starts, players must choose whether or not they would like to be considered to play as the Overwatch. After 30 seconds or so, the game selects an Overwatch and the game recommences.

Oh! Ok. Yeah, but for real, a selection period of 10 seconds, a warm-up period of 30 seconds would be nice for the GM and the Resistance.

Which side (Overwatch, Resistance) do you enjoy playing the most (or least)? Why?
It really depends on the map/who's on your team. For instance, I prefer being Overwatch on Citadel and Crossroads but it can be either on the other two. Also, if you have a good team it's more fun to be rebel.

Which side should be given more weapons/units/abilities first?
Overwatch, definitely. They control the planet after all, it makes sense that they'd have the beginning advantage.

I changed my mind since the last time. I'd have to say

I agree, we're not Gordon Freeman Here, it makes sense that the rebels should only get a sidearm, primary weapon and melee. I've got a system like this going for my mod, actually.

⇒ Question #1

I enjoy the playing the Overwatch the most.

⇒ Question #1½

I'm wholly undecided on that, but I would really like to see my suggestion put in.

⇒ Question #2

Lack of maps.
Lack of players.
Rapeswarms of manhacks.
The way the riot shield awkwardly jumps-about when I try to maneuver it.

Jokes aside, we're still doing quite well considering we get a few full servers during the weekend events, but don't worry ScrooLewse, there will be more people playing soon enough.

Sorry I'm late :D

Answer #1 : I love to be the Overwatch, got the power and I love to "roleplay" with the rebels.

Answer #2 : I don't think we really need more power for both sides, but more variety : the Overwatch got only 2-3 kind of units and the rebels got only 2 role (3 could be good but I think that 2 isn't enough).

Answer #3 : One word : SPAM ! We didn't have a lot of trolls right now but I'm sure that later we will have a lot of them and a lot of spam with it. A population system could fix this.
