Can people post some ideas for traps here?
doesn't matter how strange, I just would like some inspiration for later.

1. Make a heavy object(such as a hanging car or crane, heavy metal container)drop from its support and crush whats beneath it.
2. Have an stationary, disabled APC fire rockets at a designated target area. After that, maybe a cooldown, then it can fire again. Three charges for it?
3. Enable a func_tank with a soldiers/metropolice officer manning it, the NPC could be killed, and it could no longer be usable.

For a beach setting:
TIDAL WAVE!!!
An Itchyosaur jumps over docks of some kind, eating or pushing at least one Rebel.
A rebel falls into a sinkhole caused by antlion tunneling.
A thumper short-circuits and topples-over.
A thumper goes into overdrive and causes a landslide on the nearby coastal cliffs.
Three-to-four antlions unburrow.
For a Citadel setting:
Up to four rollermines are dumped-down a narrow staircase.
A pod swipes down a long, narrow path.
Activate a Confiscation Field.
Short-Circuit said Confiscation Field to disintegrate humans.
A Stalker disables a force-field walkway.
All-Purpose traps:
Send-in an APC for a drive-by shooting and a hit-and-run.
Bombard the Rebels with a suppression device.
Raise floor turrets.
Drop Ceiling turrets.

Stalkers don't work, thumpers are hard-coded, rollermines are hacked in, tidal waves are ridiculous.
THIS GAME NEEDS MORE LASERS.

Activate a shield/close a door and start an ambush.
Lock a rebel in a cage, the others must save him.
Explosives barrel rain.
Cut oxygen.
Create an ambush in a elevator.
And so many possibility still avaiable!

I would like to weigh in on this, what if when the thumper short cuircuts, it could generate an electrical charge, zapping rebels using it as a "safe zone"... it then disables said "safe zone"

How about a ""giant" themed map, where everything is larger than life. Plenty of opportunities for traps.
