Exactly how much detailed information are you looking for in these WIP threads? Just screenshots? A complete run down of the map? I ask because being the unnecessarily paranoid individual that I am, I do not want to reveal a ton of information on ideas that I feel are relatively unique and risk them showing up in another map. I'd prefer to keep as much under wraps as possibly, sharing the whole map with only people that I trust, and who's feedback I know would be valuable.

You don't have to reveal everything, but you should give a decent overview of what the level is about and what it offers.

In the updates, just mention how your work is progressing, what you're working on next, and show a few screenshots (you could set up a few of these early on and just use them to generate the images, which can later be used in a sort of timelapse video).

I think I will enter my OW_quarry map in, I also have an interesting concept I plan to block out soon... but what I wanted to ask was
If I submit a map, and lets say it wins, Is it ok If you give the first place prize to second place?

It sounds weird but I don't really think the prizes are needed... having my map(s) in-game is a grand reward of it's own...
so if I win, I would like the runner up to get first place, and a third place be given... so there would be three winners.

of course it depends on how many entries are tallied... and how many are acceptable.

If you win, you can do whatever you want with the prize, so there should be no problem with that. :)

I understand there is a cut-off date for sending in entries (maps). Is there a deadline for fulfilling the other requirements, such as the media posting, after which point you will no longer be eligible for consideration?

I'd prefer it if every participant would have at least posted once or twice by the end of November, but there's no hard deadline.
