We would also like to know if there are any entities you'd like us to improve (additional keys/flags/inputs/outputs), or new ones you'd like us to add.
First things first, -a display timer! You can't tell me rebels have no way of keeping track of how many seconds are left on that bomb, or that the cunningly resourceful Overwatch is unable to co-ordinate effective strikes against the resistance due to unsynchronised activities.

This was one of my biggest hassles when mapping for Zombie Master.

Display timers allow for players (on either team) to co-ordinate their efforts effectively or even allow them to make the most opportune retreat. They add more depth to the game scenarios and can build tension or suspense within players as the timer nears zero.

I implore you, add a display timer (preferably with different display options -eg, centred, top-right corner, realtime, etc). If it is not too much trouble, it would be nice to allow mappers to enter custom values for their maps (-there was a display timer 'out there' some time ago that only allowed three set values. [1, 3 and 5 mins]).

Hi,

That sounds nice, but I'm not quite sure I understand how this would be used.

What bomb are you referring to?

Just for general objectives, in say automated sequences. ie, the rebels objective is to startup a piece of machinery (or destroy it), and hold the combine off for a set amount of time until the equipment is ready (or wrecked). There is no 'bomb', it's just an example. If it was a survival map, then the timer could display the amount of time remaining until evac. The timer could countdown until the next dropship arrives, giving rebels a good idea of how long they have to prepare.

I think a countdown timer is one of those utilities that should come with most Source game mods. I'm surprised the SDK doesn't have one, as counter-strike & team fortress 2 have them in-game (unfortunately, unless you're modding either of those you can't access it).
Anyway, i'll leave it up to you. Even if it doesn't get used by the Overwatch Team, i'm sure there are plenty of custom maps to come that would benefit greatly from an on-screen timer.

Yep, sounds like a good idea.
