I'll have to admit that Starcraft completely passed me by, I've only ever seen a friend play it once, other than that it's just gameplay videos. Plus for years for some reason I thought "zerg rush kekeke" was from Starship Troopers, woops! With all the hype surrounding Starcraft 2 though, I am getting quite interested in giving it a go, especially since all these awesome customization videos are showing up.. and Carsius I like how they've put in a matchmaking system, that's good to hear, as the first thing I think of when I see the name Starcraft is crazy Korean dudes flapping their fingers about, wouldn't want to play the game coming up against them all the time.

I loved Homeworld and Homeworld 2. They're my favorite(s).

I've been playing SC2 since release and I've got to say the placement system is not that bad. If you suck, you play with others who suck as bad as you do, so unless you get a match with a pro doing their placements you should have some fun without getting steamrolled.
One of the things I will say that they screwed up was the removal of the chatrooms (That'd be server browser for Overwatch?). With no real feeling of community and having nobody on my friends list makes the game feel completely isolated. There is no sense of adventure of joining a chat room (server in Overwatch's case) and just shouting "HELLO." regardless of whatever they were talking about and going from there.

Honestly I'm a really avid fan of Dawn of War. But I loved a lot of rts already mentioned here.
But DoW got to me the most and stole a lot of my hours away from me thanks to the warp powers hidden inside the game code sucking you in... DO YOU HEAR THE VOICES TOO?!?!?!
*cough* erm... I love it because you have to stay on the move to be able to fight. Having your resource outside of your base, trying to get them and keeping them strong while fighting against one of 9 races makes it really exciting. It also had incredibly epic fights and was intensely fast.
