Rebel HUD help

During my time in game, there was one time I got completely lost, and died... We never found my body. A compass is always helpful for navigation, but some form of radar/compass to locate the other rebels would be nice. Even if it was only limited range, and only indicated direction from your current position, it'd go a long way for helping the teamwork. Currently, if you're following the others, and you turn around to watch your back, you can easily have everyone go left at a fork in the road, and then you mistakenly go right.
I think a mini-map would probably be a bit overkill, and give the rebels too much of an advantage, but some form of friendly-indication would be really helpful.
It'd also allow experienced players guide newbies back to the group, as they could figure out where the lost person is on the map (and then give instructions to match).
Just something for consideration.
Oh, and with all experienced players, they're not going to get lost, so being able to tell where each other is won't really change their gameplay...

None (Which I consider other): Since I think they should get a backlit hud thing like L4D
and
"just when they shoot/speak (approximate location)": Because thats just awesome!

If we don't give them a mini-map/radar... how would they see the indication of where the enemy is when the enemies shoot/speak?
Just a bit of curiosity, about how your brain thinks things through.

Well There should be a mini map, but that shouldn't "have to" show teammates, (or landscape for that matter) just a dot where the enemy is shooting from.
The primary way to navigate should be looking straight forward!
Never question my brain, it's busy imagining porn with my subconsciousness.
On an other note: please use uppercase starting letters. (My eyes are burning.)

I think Rule 34 have saved my life at least twice,
and I don't expect channers to spell on 4 chan.
But I expect channers to spell on other sites (unless they are trying to troll).

UI - As it is, the UI is a little bit cumbersome and could be more useful:
{...}
3: As the rebels, I think we could use an option to display player's names (abbreviated) and health through walls, so you can tell who needs help, is getting attacked, who needs revived, or just where the hell everyone is.
{...}
just to bring the discussion to this thread, I'm cross-thread quoting it.
