So far I've uninstalled and reinstalled ow twice, I verified my source 2007 base, deleted my .blob, I googled it, checked my disk space, updated my drivers. The game crashes when launched and this has been going on for a month now. I need a solution ASAP since I'm in the mapping competition and I can't work on my map without running it at the moment. Thanks in advance.

As per our discussion, we're trying to figure out what exactly AppID 217 is for, since it's not listed on the VDC.

An email's been sent to the hlcoders mailing list.

As it turns out, AppID 217 is for the Multiplayer OB Binaries. Had Deer delete the multiplayer ob binaries.gcf from his steamapps folder and relaunch Overwatch.

Problem solved.
