Metal is awsome in games.
I mean look at C&C Red Alert 3. It's music is absolutley epic, especialy the heavy metal Soviets

That's why I always shut off the in game music. I LOVE heavy metal, but heavy metal usually doesn't fit in games (except Guilty Gear, which is why Guilty Gear is so freaking awesome) and I wouldn't want music that doesn't fit the game in the game. Of course, what I said shouldn't count, because I don't listen to in game music.

I always disliked metal in general, always had a weird vibe to it. I usually think of it as some person screaming.

Music is always good, but it never hurts to have an option to disable it.

If it's like in Left 4 Dead then yes I would like music. Music without words, but can convey feeling into the player. Like completing an objective, would have triumphant music. While losing a person, would result in having sad music playing.

Music should only be used in special situations, not all the time, only when something big happens would be a good example.

i personally think if the music dynamic, depending on what side/what has just happened, then that would probably been epic, (loled at winstons been hit D:)

The thing is, music isn't always controllable that way. Ever play Zombie Panic and played Club Zombo? Awesome map, horribly annoying because of the music that you can't control.

Well, the only reason why you couldn't remove music from a source game via the music controller (on picture i put on earlier), is that it's tagged wrong - It's not considered music but ambient.

music will be well only if it appears when we win, we lose or we achieve an event (or when a strider appears as in the tank with L4D)

But L4D2 has music playing constantly throughout the level, it's just done in a non-intrusive manner such that it doesn't hamper your playing but instead makes it more fun and/or engages you more than if you were playing to the tune of guns blaring or melee weapons smashing the infected to pieces.
