I'd personally just call him by his name as well. It is much faster, and eliminates any confusion.

"Who wants to be the GM?" and other situations when there actually isn't a player there yet wouldn't work with "his name", and "Who wants to play Overwatch?" is rather confusing as well for some strange reason.

My vote still goes for GM.

Overwatch Dispatcher would sort of sound weird since dispatch is just like a giant computer thing.

The voice you hear relaying orders is some kind of computer, yes, but I figured that it was Breen or one of the Advisors* who was actually issuing orders. "Dispatcher" works well in my mind because it implies you're only midway up the totem pole: you're important enough to get access to most resources the Combine can offer, and mundane enough that no one else much minds what you do with them. The rebels are out there, doing nasty stuff to City 17, and nobody cares about what happens as long as you stop them.

*(And definitely not suggesting Overwatch Advisor, we've got enough names as it is. XD)

I always thought that overwatch is the system, that givers orders to the combine.NPCs are not overwatch really, they are called "overwatch soldiers".

Overwatch is a whole combine.But then again, overwatch is coming from words watching over.You could simply call that player "overwatch commander" or just "overwatch".

Like I mentioned in the first post, it's just an unofficial matter. Not all Overwatch players will be hanging around on these forums, and of those who do, not all will even read this thread. It wouldn't really matter if we agreed on something here or not.

'Overwatch'

-simple. The Overwatch controls the combine forces. 'Game Master' distracts from the atmosphere of the mod you guys are building and kinda makes the players feel like puppets. Also, 'Game Master' is too closely related to the 'Zombie Master' -it's great you guys built inspiration from it, but i don't think obvious similarities are in order.

As for the earlier comments regarding the "team" as being called 'Overwatch', lets take a second look at Zombie Master -you choose between 2 roles; Zombie Master or Survivor. Clearly the RTS team is not called 'Zombie Master', it is simply the zombie team. The FPS team is the human team (or 'the survivors').
For Overwatch you choose 1 of 2 roles also; Overwatch or Rebel. It is the combine team vs the resistance (human team).

(it also makes sense because people don't shout "OMG, the Overwatch are coming!". they tend to yell "Combine!" -afterall, this is set in the Half Life universe.)

I vote we name the RTS player 'Overwatch'. If not, then i choose 'Ellen McClain' as a secondary vote.
