I am curious to know what the 'combat' in the game will be. Is it cover-to-cover you get shot a few times and die combat, or you can take a million bullets because your Gordon Freeman combat? And is the game featuring exclusive gunplay, or are there melee weapons/assassinations/incapacitations/injuries?

Most likely a mix between the two. While IA! is not meant to be a realistic game, being required to use cover to survive better adds more depth to combat. I can't yet say to what extent, though. That we'll find out once there is enough to test it with.

The whole customizable characters bit could, for example, let you choose between:
- A high-damage, low-health precision-elmination character that can take-down behemoths but has to utilize cover to not get blown-away by swarms of underlings.
- A high-health, medium-damage character that can give and take hundreds of bullets, but can barely keep-up with elites and can't out-damage mini-bosses.
- A low-health, low-damage character that can utilize support functions or bypass enemies and rush objectives.
