Bot System

What I would really like is a bot system like TF2/CSS, etc. That would really help out for the rebels so we could have fun. I'm in a server right now with 3/8 players and its kinda hard to survive on ow_crossroads with only 2 rebels. Please consider this!!

I know its hard to survive in crossroad with a few players, this is why is good to play in this map where we are at least 6 players.

It's could be really hard to implent bots, but maybe add the possibility to add the rebels soldiers we can see in HL2 could be a good idea to balance some maps.

It is INCREDIBLY hard to program AI. We could recycle the Rebels from HL2 and give them objectives, but the Rebels would need to be implemented, first.

I wish it were that simple. Those NPCs were implemented for SP, we'd have to rewrite quite a bit to get them to work in MP, with multiple players.

That makes sense. What did Garry Newman do to make them work?

IN gmod, obsidian conflict and synergy they all just fallow who ever joined the server first.

Exactly, they still behave like in a SP game.

Ah. I didn't think that was much of a problem, but now that you think about it, that could be quite a problem.
Maybe they shouldn't even follow the rebels.
