Foldit is a unique puzzle game from the University of Washington that is trying to put gamers to use for the better good.

In order to explain what is going on an how it works, I would need to go into a long scientific discourse on protein and advanced computer science, which can be found here. But what I can say is that beating these puzzles will help scientists cure cancer, AIDS, and Alzheimer's disease as well as find better-burning fuels for the future. Who knows, your solve for a certain puzzle may BE the cure for AIDS.

So go download the game and be a better person!
