Well, when I played the HL2 and the Episode 1 I realized that the siege of City 17 is took abot 2-3 days....In that days, the resistance's low-trained soldiers can captured the city's most important resources I tihnk, to block the the Overwatch's movement...so I imagine that what units can be deployed by the combine to recapture the city, and they are seen in rarely.

1.: Minuteman: these combine soldiers haven't got many equiptment than the normal soldiers: they haven't got armor and grenades, but their squads are fast placed and have got the ability to they are attack in numbers....
In the game: they've got the stripped soldier model(http://images.wikia....ine_soldier.jpg) with the combine soldiers' animation. They spawned much more than a normal OW soldier squad( 1player=3 soldiers;7player=10soldiers) and their weapons randomized, so in their squad we can found shotgunners, smgs, and the ar2s too( in the current weapon they have got the same eye skin: the shotgun wielder have got red eyes, the smg's got blue, and the ar2 have got red eyes, and white pants). Because they haven't got armor, they are faster than a normal soldier, but their health is very low( lower than a metrocop), and they can't throw grenades.
Tactic: they are the absolutely rush-unit

2.:MSU(Mobile Support Unit): When the combine are running out of human body, I think they create very fast a mech unit to get this resource. These droids are equipted a mounted machine gun, to defend a point and collect the human bodies with bullets.
In the Game: these guys model is (because I can't find a robotic body) are custom made models, with custom animations. They equipt a mounted pulse rifle ( the boat's pulse rifle) to defend consoles, generator etc. have got large health, but if we shoot on the head, or the back, they destroyed in seconds, but they are slower than a zombie and because the balance their spawn is the following: 1 resistance player=1MSU with 50% health, 2 player=1 fully healthy MSU, 3 players= 2 MSU with 50%HP, 4 to 7 players=2MSU with fully health.
Tactic: these are simply mobile pulse turrets.

3.:Traitor: Some member of the resistance turned in hostages, or the Combine wag one's finger at the guy to join the army to the Universal Union, to save his friends and family. He/She hasn't got any choice, because the combine planting the frightening mind controll device, to controll the human's every step. They armed with a suicidal bombs, so got to know, who is the traitor.
In the game: this unit is spawned one time and only one unit, randomly in the level, near the resistance( if the numbers of the resistance is not full), he's got ability to change the status to friend to enemy, armed with smg or shotgun randomly. When friend he can shoot the enemy soldiers, but if we turned into enemy he can fastly changing his weapon to ar2. Beware: he has got the same health as the members of the resistance, so he is a pretty overpowered, but if we can shoot him, and he is in one OW squad, he/she explode, and bring his teammates to the death.
Tactic: He is a spy unit of the Overwatch.

4.: Alien marines: If the combine running out of human bodies, and all hope is lost he's got the last chance: open a portal, to send to the Earth some alien soldier from the nearest planets: These Martian bastards have got their superweapons, the blasterrifle, and some grenades, to kill the resistance guys, but they've got a very weak point: Their healths are very low, because they haven't got the ability to breath the oxygen or another gas of the Earth, but have got gas mask. So if we can shoot down their breathing device in their back, they killed in seconds. They spawned in numbers in the final round randomly in the final sequence's location.
Tactic: they only used in the final sequence of the round, when the OW thinks he will lose the round

I running out of ideas...so, What do you think?

I running out of ideas...so, What do you think?

1. I don't believe there are any animations for that model, and we have never seen them ingame besides Nova Prospekt on an operating table. They don't even have a proper ragdoll, they have one model, and thats on the table.

2. Too overpowered, too hard to model etc.

3. No. I don't think it would work.

4. Hell no.

And just for shits and giggles, its really up to the mapper to where the maps take place. Overwatch doesn't have a set timeline, and unless your a mapper, you won't really be able to decide anything. It is clear Breach takes place during the War, Canals before the War, Citadel is possibly during the War, and Crossroads takes place possibly before Gordon Freeman arrived.

Interesting: How can I putting some downloaded models in the game, because I my Episode 1,Dr. Breen is an arabic terrorist, and some Combine units are Russian soldiers, and they are working!!!!
And I can say there are a million posts, that programmer can create a simple animation into one ragdoll model.....
anyway....some mods support the one model/ million skin scheme: play 1187 and saw the zombies has got a million skin variants....so why not been possible to creating that unit??????

I won't decide anything, because it is a suggestion, an idea, that will be forget the whole humanity in days, weeks, years, when the other people decide, these ideas are not the best.

You don't understand models and skins do you? Skins are just recolors and retextures of models, there are VERY simple, you have not created a model or added a model unless it has its own ragdoll, its own animations etc. I doubt that is the case. And a programmer probably can't unless they have a wide range of expertise in a lot of subjects. A modeler can do that. And a simple animation into one ragdoll model? Huh? And even if we were to think of something like that, creating a working model with over 256 animations(thats how many animations Combine Soldiers possess) would be a lot of work.

Yes, there is one model and a million skin scheme, it doesn't mean it'd work for every mod, nor would it look good.

OK ladies, stop your bickering... your BOTH pretty.

I am sure when the time comes for additions to Overwatch The team will look back over these posts for ideas, or perhaps just have another contest about it... an "Idea" contest where the only prize is having the idea ingame.

However, at this early in development, it is impractical to even contemplate such additions that require a Influx of extra work. I say we should shelve this conversation untill at least ONE of the OW maps are done.

besides, we haven't even covered the full range of combine equipment (I see no rollermines...yet)

Then we can talk about adding hats...

Thank you, to not THE Joker the Only person to write in that post...
And Yes....I said, it is an IDEA, not The full implement to the mod, because I can't modelling, skinning, mapping, etc.
so....I decide, to not writing in there for a time, because someone can't understand that.....

At least he's putting in the effort to communicate in a foreign language. Maybe we should put in some amount of effort to help make things clearer for him?
