Just to state a fact I don't think every rebel in city17 will be able to find a crowbar as a weapon. So here's the idea create some more melee weapons they would all do the same damage as the crowbar and have the same attack rate but they would be different models and skins. I have some ideas for melee but here's a better idea.

CREATE YOU MELEE
this is a competition for community where people will come up with custom melee weapon ideas and models. when its over the DEVs chose the best models and ideas.

the prize.
The winners get there weapons in game.


some one asked so here's how you can inter the contest.


inter by posting CONCEPT ART or MODELS to the contest, (if it ever starts). Models will be proffered do to the fact less work would be required to get said weapon in the game.

bonus points to the first person to make a model for the riot shield !!

hammer, sledge hammer, baseball bat, tire iron, socket wrench, monkey wrench, pipe wrench, board with nail in it, 2x4, knife, fists, lead pipe, brass pipe, broken sniper rifle, baton, etc.

100% for this Idea.

If this was a contest, I'd use it to learn to model

IT might be depends on how many people think its a good idea.

This is actually a great idea, for game balance they could possibly just have the same stats as a Crowbar, but it would be quite unique and interesting to have randomized melee weapons. A Wii Remote would be quite fun to beat soldiers to death with, or a croquet bat thing.

- Lead Pipe
- Pipe Wrench (got to love the reference)
- Stun Stick (this is just common sense now)
- Severed antlion appendage
- A 2X4 plank of wood
- A salvaged shard of metal
- broken firearm
- table leg
- A lamp
- whiffle-bat (I would scream for joy if this was added)
- The players pistol (pistol whip)
- An actual whip
- A blunt and rather bulky novel

posted ways to inter the contest. keep in mind its not started so wait for the official topic for the contest to post any models or concepts.

Kidding. I do hope we get alot of entrants for the riot shield. This way it will be the very best we can offer (and not that combine-prop). Good luck guys.
