Crossroads will have a common enemy for both sides. The key is finding a proper balance between fighting the common enemy and fighting the opposite team. We don't want the GM or Rebels to be completely distracted by them though, just worried enough that they'd have to alter their strategy as the level progresses.
As for other maps, our new level designer pitched an idea for a level based on the HL2 Canals maps. We'll be prototyping it over the next few weeks, but I can already tell that it has great potential. The map would work pretty well as a linear progression from point A to B, with multiple possible paths along the way, all part of the network of narrow rivers and drainage tunnels that make up the Canals.
