Alright, I have two computers at two different houses and both have Overwatch installed. This PC runs Win7 and my other one runs XP. -- Just to clearify.

Everytime I try joining a overwatch server it says that I'm logged into steam somewhere else, but I'm not logged in anywhere else and steam games don't say I'm logged in somewhere else.

Anyone got a solution? Much appreciated, Zac.

Hmm dang, this doesn't affect any other mods I have, just this one.
Sorry, yours is worse though.

Hey Zac,

Two solutions you could try:

  • Close Overwatch, open the Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL), find hl2.exe, select it and then click End Process. Launch Overwatch.
  • Log out of Steam (open the Library, click on Steam at the top, Change User), then log back in. Launch Overwatch.

Let me know if that helps (or doesn't).

Actually I had already tried both of those before posting this topic. Also tried removing and reinstalling with the .exe instead of .zip.
Thanks though.

Edit: It suddenly started working..still thanks for what help and responses that I got.

me and some of my friends had this problem, too
after hours of research i found a solution; u have simply to delete all file in your steam folder except the steam-apps folder and steam.exe ; than simply start steam again, now it will update for a few minutes and all is allright ^^

Guys, i'm not sure what error you got exactly but if you connect and timeout of a server at any point, you need to wait for the connection to drop. As far as the server is concerned you are still connected because it still has your client information. Trying to re-connect will just take longer for it drop-out and you will get an error similar to the one mentioned above. ("Steam UserID invalid" is pretty common.) The solution is simple; go away, "grab a cookie" and it will be ready before you know it.

Deleting 'ClientRegistry.blob' is easier and does the same thing really.
