I just got this update from moddb, that fake factory has gone private because of critic.

I think this is very sad, I don't know if you have tried fake factory, but every time I speak of a mod, that has evolved from sand to dirt to pure gold just look at their version history.

this makes me sad the haters dont realize he was just releasing it to share it it was never a mod for the community he just shared his work

You can't really blame this on the community. I'm not sure if he had any experience in modding before this project, but if he did, he should have known what to expect.
Truth is, not everyone's cut out for it, it's just a shame he had to snap this way.
In my opinion, it seems a bit selfish to share something with a community (and I'm sure many people in that community stood by him and supported him) only to kick them all in the nuts and take the mod away from them, just because of a few negative comments.

and what's with the negative karma in there, I write a half way decent comment and I get flamed to death!
